Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez welcomes first baby through water birth

Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez is now a mom!

The beauty queen announced the good news on Sunday through a seven-minute YouTube video showing her water birth journey.

In the video, she was seen screaming in pain as her partner Niño Barbers held her hand. Towards the end, she let out a sigh of relief and a smile with her baby cuddled on her chest.

The video said Robert Joaquin Rodriguez Barbers was born last August 25 at 4:02 a.m.

Katarina and Niño revealed that they were expecting also in August of this year.

Katarina, was crowned Miss World Philippines in 2018, officially bid farewell to pageants after failing to secure a spot in the Top 30 of Miss World that year.

She was crowned Miss Intercontinental Philippines in the 54th edition of Binibining Pilipinas and went on to represent the country in the international pageant, where she finished as first runner-up.
