KC Concepcion on dad Gabby's birthday: 'I missed you for so many years, but I love you more now. Past is past'

KC Concepcion wrote an honest and tender letter for dad Gabby Concepcion's  birthday.

Acknowledging their messy past, KC thanked her father for "not only making up for all the lost time, but for making the effort to keep our bond close, too."

As she expressed how important it was that Gabby respected her "as a grown woman," KC also mentioned how much she appreciates Gabby "making me feel like your baby girl."

KC is the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion, who famously separated three years after getting married, when KC was only two years old. 

"I missed you for many years," KC wrote in her birthday post for her father. "But I love you more now and I still and forever will love you so, so, so much. Past is past, and what matters the most is today and tomorrow! I love every second!"

She ended her letter with a hearty "I love you papa," as she tagged Gabby, whom KC said was "the first guy who stole my heart."

During quarantine, KC and Gabby have been spending a lot of time together — like that week they spent in Gabby's Anilao beach house for her birthday —  and making up for lost time, taking everybody along as they share their precious experiences on their social media accounts.
