Aljur Abrenica breaks silence on split with Kylie Padilla
Following his split with Kylie Padilla, Aljur Abrenica broke his silence on social media and addressed his ex-partner to "please tell them the truth."
In a Facebook post on Tuesday, Aljur told Kylie not to "hide and disguise" her comments for her own self-gain.
"Tell them who cheated first. Tell them who wrecked our family. Tell them why I gave up on you, not on our family. The people deserve to know."
Despite "the attacks and accusations" thrown at him, Aljur said he had no hate and in fact, "appreciated" people's reactions because "it comes from their genuine morality and support towards our family."
"They also deserve to know the truth," he wrote.
Aljur at once explained his silence — they had an agreement to keep mum in public — and apologized for breaking the agreement because "people who support us still throw accusations and read your statements. It breaks my heart that you can sit still despite the truth."
Addressing Kylie, Aljur said: "Tell them who cheated first. Tell them who are you with right now. Have the courage to settle this. Tell your dad the truth. If not for them, do it for our children. After so many years, will you allow our children, let them believe this story that you and dad left for me? At first it was fair for me to take all the blame. Is it also fine with you guys to let the innocent be attacked with false accusations?"
Last July, Kylie's father Robin Padilla confirmed in an interview that Kylie and Aljur have parted ways after more than 2 years of marriage.
Asked if there was a third party, Robin answered that there supposedly was on Aljur's end.
Kylie later said she and Aljur are working on a co-parenting setup for sons Alas and Axl.
Earlier this week, Kylie broke her silence and commented on the dating rumors between Aljur and AJ Raval, saying that she simply wished for Aljur to be happy as he remains the father of her two sons.
AJ also spoke up and said that she was not the third party involved in Kylie and Aljur's split.
