Kris Bernal reveals why she chose to decorate wedding with sunflowers

The wedding of Kris Bernal and Perry Choi on Saturday was made even more magical by the sunflowers that lined the church aisle.

On Monday, Kris shared why she decided to decorate their wedding with the majestic yellow blossoms.

“Thousands of sunflowers and thousands of tears,” she wrote on Instagram, posting photos of herself walking down the aisle in her princess-like wedding gown and surrounded by sunflowers.

“Sunflower is my top most favorite flower,” she said. “It symbolizes unwavering faith and unconditional love. It reminds me of the face of the sun that sends pure joy and positive vibes to me.”

She thanked florist Gideon Hermosa for making sure the motif of her wedding was “on point” with her vision. “My wedding looked like sunshine in a sunflower field because of him!”

After several postponements, Kris and Perry Choi finally tied the knot at Magallanes Church in Makati City on Sept. 25.

Kris and Perry got engaged in February 2020. They were supposed to get married in May this year but they had to change the date due to the rise of COVID-19 cases. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
