Mygz Molino details Mahal's last days, says comedienne is happy now
Mahal's rumored partner Mygz Molino has detailed the late comedienne's last days and claimed that she is happy now with her dad Romy Tesorero, who died just weeks earlier.
In a nearly 21-minute video uploaded on YouTube Saturday, Mygz said Mahal started feeling low after her father passed away on August 5.
"Masyado niya pong dinamdam 'yung pagkawala ng papa niya [She was deeply affected by her dad's passing],"" he said. "Naging matamlay po siya [She became lethargic]."
According to Mygz, Mahal started coughing last August 25 then later had fever that lasted until days later. Suddenly, hours before her death on August 31, she also had difficulty breathing at the hospital.
Mygz said he even drove for hours to find medicine but when he came back, the doctor talked to him.
"Nagsabi yung doktor na 50-50 na si Mahal. That time, lutang na ko. 'Di ko alam nangyayari. Ayoko mag-isip ng negative so hindi ko muna pinakinggan 'yung sinasabi ng doctor," he said.
["The doctor said Mahal is 50-50. That time, I felt like I was floating. I didn't know what's happening. I didn't want to think about the negative so I didn't listen to what the doctor was saying."]
"Sabi ko, 'Sana maka-survive si Mahal. Sana maging OK si Mahal [I said, 'I hope Mahal survives, I hope she will be OK]," he added.
It was then found that Mahal suffered from severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which came "secondary" to her COVID-19.
According to the Mayo Clinic, ARDS occurs when fluid builds up in the alveoli in the lungs, which then causes difficulty in breathing.
Mahal passed away a few hours later.
"Ang bilis [It happened so fast]," Mygz said.
Mygz said he knows that Mahal is now in a better place with her father.
"Alam ko na masaya ka na ngayon. Kasama mo na si Papa," he said. "Gusto ko lang magpasalamat sa binigay mo na kasiyahan sa mga araw, sa mga panahong kasama kita. Salamat."
["I know you're happy now. You're with your father. I just want to thank you for the happiness you gave during the days and times that we were together. Thank you."]
In the description of his video, Mygz also said saying goodbye to her is a hard thing and looked back on what he and Mahal used to spend their days and moments doing.
"Paalam, Mahal," he wrote. "Sa isang iglap, 'di na kita mahahawakan at maririnig ang iyong munting halakhak na siyang nagbibigay saya hindi lang sa akin kundi sa lahat ng iyong mga supporter."
["Goodbye, Mahal. In a snap, I won't be able to hold you anymore and hear your laughs which brings joy not only to me, but to all of your supporters."]
"Mahal na Mahal kita [at] ng Molino family [The Molino family and I love you very much]. Pahinga ka na [You can rest now]," he added.
Noeme Tesorero, popularly known as Mahal, passed away last August 31. She was 46 years old.
