Iya says she felt Drew's 'unconditional love' after her 'mistakes' in their relationship

Iya Villania revealed that she has made mistakes in her relationship with husband Drew Arellano, but that those were the times she felt his "unconditional love."

In an interview on "Mars Pa More," Iya said she committed a grave error and that Drew asked her, "If you were me, what would you do?"

For Iya, her mistake was unforgivable.

"Sabi ko, 'If I were you, I'd break up with me,'" she recalled. "Tapos hagulgol ako, cry, cry, cry, kasi siyempre sabi ko 'I don't deserve you.'"

("I said, 'If I were you, I'd break up with me.' And then I wept, cry, cry, cry... because of course I said 'I don't deserve you.'")

But Drew forgave her and said he still loved her despite what she had done.

"Alam mo kung ano ang sabi niya sa akin? Sabi niya 'Call me this or call me that, but I still have faith in you,'" Iya said. "Naka-jackpot ako!"

("You know what he told me? He said 'Call me this or call me that, but I still have faith in you.' I hit the jackpot!")

"That's really when I felt now, 'Wow okay, this is unconditional love because he still knew where my heart was. He still knew me despite the mistakes that I had made. And not just once, but thrice. 'I'm still willing to love you," she added.

Iya and Drew tied the knot in 2014. They have three children together: Primo, Leon, and their youngest Alana whom they welcomed in July last year. —JCB, GMA News
