How did Luke Conde keep his love life intact while being part of a boy group?
Can you imagine dating someone who has thousands of fans wanting to be his girlfriend?
Former #Hashtag member Luke Conde admitted that life in a boy band "wasn't so easy" as he thought, and one reason was because he had to keep his job and his love life separate.
In an interview with GMA press on Tuesday, the actor, singer and host recalled a time when he had a girlfriend and some fans were not too pleased.
"During that time, I had a girlfriend, so choice ko na rin na walang postings or anything to keep it private talaga," Luke told GMA News Online over Zoom.
"Kasi ayaw ko rin madadamay siya eh. 'Yun 'yung mas hindi ko kayang tanggapin," he added.
Luke said he had the freedom to post and make his relationship public, but he also understood that his girlfriend had a life of her own.
"For me kasi, I can bear kung anumang sabihin. Pwede akong magreply, pwede akong sumagot, pero, siya, she's a private person, so mas iniingatan ko 'yung side niya," he said.
Despite some negative comments, Luke was grateful that his fans were not so quick to "cancel" him and that many continued to support him.
"Kasi dito satin kahit may mga ilang artists na, let's say may nagawang hindi maganda, we easily forget and forgive, di ba?" he said.
"May mga ganon tayong moments, and mabilis magpatawad ang Pinoy," he added.
Luke Conde is a former member of the boy group #Hashtags.
He officially became a Kapuso in June after signing a contract with GMA Artist Center.
You’ll be able to watch him soon on some of GMA-7’s most anticipated teleseryes, like “Lolong” and “Never Say Goodbye.”
Luke has also appeared in movies like Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana’s "No Boyfriend Since Birth" and "The Significant Other," which also starred Tom together with Lovi Poe and Erich Gonzales. – RC, GMA News
