Ruffa Gutierrez says her father Eddie has been cleared of prostate cancer

Actress Ruffa Gutierrez took to Instagram to share the good news about her father Eddie's health, revealing that he has been cleared of prostate cancer.

On Instagram, Ruffa shared a photo with her dad.

In the caption, the actress said "weeks leading up to my departure for the U.S. was tough."

"I experienced a tornado of emotions which I kept exceptionally private," she added.

Without sharing too many details, Ruffa announced that her father "had an operation and it was a success," adding that "he has been cleared of prostate cancer. Thank you, Lord!"

In the latter part of the post, she thanked all of the medical workers who helped take care of her dad and those who prayed for him.

"Our family would like to thank ALL the doctors and nurses who took care of Dad at St. Luke’s Quezon City. Special mention to the BEST urologist and anaesthesiologist, Dr. Steve & Joyce Lim," she wrote, adding that "He is on the road to a full recovery thanks to your expertise and pag-aalaga."

Ruffa also thanked those who prayed for her father's health.

"Sa mga nagdasal para kay Dad, maraming salamat. You know who you are," she wrote.

"Sending LOVE to everyone who’s trying their best to heal from things they don’t discuss. Keep the faith, pray and stay strong," she ended her note.
