Michelle Madrigal and Troy Woolfolk are getting divorced
Michelle Madrigal has revealed that she and husband Troy Woolfolk have separated.
In an Instagram post, she said that they were going through the process of divorce.
"[Troy] and I have been separated and are going through divorce. Of course, we have remained friends and co-parents to our beautiful daughter Anika," she said.
She said that they decided to tell the public to be "transparent" after getting messages from fans.
However, she asked for space and respect over their decision.
"We thank y’all for all the love and support you have given The Woolfolk family. We will always have love for each other and cherish the good times rather than the bad ones," she said.
Troy likewise confirmed the news on his Instagram, saying that a lot of people have been "intrusive" so they were making the announcement.
"We have no drama, we are still cool. I will always love [Mitch] cause she is the mother of my child that we will co-parent together. I still love everyone in her family and will continue to treat them like my own," he said.
In the video, he said that they've decided they were better off as friends than husband and wife.
"We still have that friendship, just not companionship in the sense of marriage," he said.
Michelle and Troy, who are based in Texas, tied the knot in April 2019 after meeting via Tinder. They welcomed their daughter Anika in 2017. —JCB, GMA News
