Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez reveals pregnancy

Former beauty queen Katarina Rodriguez and her partner Nino Barbers are expecting their first child!

The Miss World Philippines 2018 titleholder made the big announcement in a YouTube vlog, where she revealed taking a pregnancy test after not having her period in “almost nine months.”

Katarina acted anxious as she went to tell Nino, only for the camera to zoom out and reveal her already-bulging baby bump.

Nino laughed but he still acted surprised.

“Really? Wow! Congrats, babe!" he told Katarina before giving her a hug.

In an exclusive interview with MEGA, Katarina shared how her pregnancy and journey to motherhood has “changed her perspective.”

“I’ve been feeling very blessed throughout my journey. Once we confirmed my pregnancy everything came so naturally to me,” she was quoted as saying.

“Pregnancy humbled me. I went from feeling like I knew people and how the world works to seeing how little I actually knew about life. I definitely empathize more with people now. My body wasn’t the only thing that changed, my mind and heart did too. I feel grateful for all the growing happening, for the baby in my womb and for my personal journey as well.”

Katarina Rodriguez, was crowned Miss World Philippines in 2018, officially bid farewell to pageants after failing to secure a spot in the Top 30 of Miss World that year.

She was also crowned Miss Intercontinental Philippines in the 54th edition of Binibining Pilipinas and went on to represent the country in the international pageant, where she finished as first runner-up.
