Carla Abellana cried on the first day of her lock-in taping, and here's why

Carla Abellana is set to star in the series "To Have and To Hold," so that means she had to go into lock-in taping.

In her latest vlog, Carla said the lock-in taping was six weeks long. However, it was only on the first day that the actress broke down in tears.

"Day 1 pa lang, 'di ko na kinaya (It's only Day 1, but I couldn't handle it)," she wrote as text onscreen. "Please don't judge me. It's just one of those days."

She then appeared on the video with teary eyes and a red nose, saying, "I miss my doggies, I miss my babies. I'm so near, yet so far."

Carla said that her house is just a few streets away from the quarantine hotel that she and the other cast members were staying at.

And while she knows that her dogs are okay, she said that she's sad that they wouldn't really understand why they won't be seeing her for so long.

"I cried last night, I cried this morning, because I was dreading every minute, counting down to lock-in taping. Not that I'm not grateful, but because I'm gonna miss them so much," she said.

"I hate the thought that they don't completely understand why I'm leaving, why they won't be seeing me for the next six weeks," she added.

Carla said this is the longest she'll be apart from her family and fiance Tom Rodriguez so far.

In fact, Tom was just returning from his taping when Carla had to leave for her own.

"One day difference na lang, hindi pa talaga nagtagpo. Ano ba 'yan, hindi talaga destined (It was just a one-day difference, we still didn't cross paths. It wasn't destined)," she said.

"To Have and To Hold" is an upcoming romantic drama that, aside from Carla, will also star Rocco Nacino and Max Collins. —JCB, GMA News
