Ruffa Gutierrez realizes she sounds like mom Annabelle as she greets daughter Lorin a happy 18th birthday

Ruffa Gutierrez is quite the cool and very level-headed mom, and on Instagram, she demonstrates how self-aware she is, too!

Ruffa dedicated a post for her firstborn, Lorin, who turns 18 today. And amid all her wise reminders, Ruffa funnily realizes how much she sounds like her very strict mom, Annabelle Rama.

"Gosh, I sound like my mom," she wrote in parenthesis, as she levelled with Lorin not to get into a relationship.

She first mentioned all the opportunities coming her way, and then she offered a few reminders to Lorin: "Don be in such a hurry to grow up. Savour your youth. [Being an adult] means being responsible with all aspects of your life. Be a leader, not a follower. Chase your dreams, travel the world, pursue your goal of taking up law, be a good girl."

And then in all caps, Ruffa reminded her daughter "huwag muna mag-boyfriend" and here, she laughed as she recognized how much she sounded like her own mother.

It was the advice that followed these statements that showed how level-headed Ruffa is: "If you decide to have [a boyfriend] 10 years from now, CHOOSE WISELY...Don’t just follow your heart Lorin, use your brain," she added.

Ruffa told Lorin to "choose to be kind and use your platform to be an inspiration to others. HAPPY 18!!!!"

Ruffa's cool style of parenting has become popular on the internet. In August last year, she made a special cameo in Lorin's TikTok video, smacking her daughter from behind as Lorin displayed her twerking skills.   

In April, Ruffa went on "full nanay mode" and left an honest-to-goodness comment on Lorin's Instagram post.
