Kara David's silver lining amid the pandemic is quality time with OFW husband LM
As with everyone else, the pandemic lockdown has thrown a wrench in Kara David's life.
But while she misses her friends and having adventures outdoors, the Kapuso journalist has one thing to be happy about — the presence of her husband, LM Cancio.
LM, who has worked as an OFW in cruise ships for years, now gets to stay at home and spend time with Kara.
"Actually, LM said he feels as if it's only now he feels that we're husband and wife ever since we got married," Kara said in Filipino during an interview on The Howie Severino Podcast.
Kara revealed that after they got married in 2018, they only had a honeymoon on the cruise ship LM worked in, and then they didn't see each other for six months after Kara went home to the Philippines.
"That's how it was. He'd just come home here for three months, then return to the ship," she said.
"So now, we were able to stay together for a full year. I get nervous that my husband would get sick of me," she added.
Kara considered it a blessing, in a way, that LM was able to return home and stay in the Philippines for a lengthy period of time.
"We're together every day. He's present for all my adventures. Even for my work, he's the one who's shooting me. We got to know each other more. And thankfully, we haven't gotten sick of each other nor are we getting annoyed," she said.
Kara and LM tied the knot in Pampanga in January 2018 after getting together in May 2015.
Both are graduates of the University of the Philippines Integrated School and they share the same passion for biking and mountain climbing. —JCB, GMA News
