Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica have split, Robin Padilla confirms

After months of speculation, it is now confirmed that Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica have separated.

The split was confirmed by Kylie's father, Robin Padilla, during an interview with celebrity vlogger Ogie Diaz.

Robin said that he used to ask Kylie about her situation, and she'd answer with, "Okay lang ako, Pa (I'm okay, Pa)."

However, recently, the answer changed.

"Ito, noong tinanong ko siya ulit, 'Anak, agrabyado ka ba?' 'Hindi, Pa, ako ang nakipaghiwalay," he shared.

Asked if there was a third party, Robin answered that there supposedly was.

"Is that impossible? It's not impossible," he said in Filipino. "That's what I told Kylie, [Aljur] is a man."

He said that he understood, seeing as he'd done the same thing before.

"Lalaki ako. Kaya lang, hindi na uso ang mga martir ngayon (I'm a man, but martyrs aren't a thing anymore)," he added.

Robin said that he told Kylie, "Your husband is a man, you should be thankful that he's a man."

"Kaya lang hindi raw niya kaya (But she couldn't take it anymore)," he added.

The split seemed to be amicable, Robin said, because the two were speaking when they celebrated Father's Day.

He added that he believes there's still love, and that he hopes they could still get back together for the sake of their children.

"It's impossible that there isn't love between then anymore," Robin said. "I hope they won't draw it out for too long if they do decide to get back together."

Kylie and Aljur first got together ten years ago. They tied the knot in December 2018. They have two sons, Axl Romeo and Alas Joaquin.

The couple first sparked breakup rumors back in February after they shared cryptic posts on Instagram.

However, they have since posted photos of them spending time together as a family. —JCB, GMA News
