Here’s how Chynna Ortaleza knew Kean Cipriano was the man she prayed for

Chynna Ortaleza took to Instagram to share how she knew her husband Kean Cipriano was the man she had prayed for.

On Tuesday,  Chynna posted a family photo which included their parents and siblings.

“You know how I knew that Kean was the partner that I prayed for?” she wrote.

“First, I did away with whatever I thought was what I deserved.”

The actress recalled that she “prayed for no specific physical attributes, no lavish material belongings, no gender or romantic notions.”

However, she “told Papa God to help me select the right person who had a good soul, allow me to grow and to please love my family & uphold God as the center of our family.”

She said she prayed for “a person who could understand the brilliance of my father and respect and be a friend to my mother.”

Chynna said her friend Kean entered her life “as a supporter of growth. Check 1!”

She said that one check mark stayed for a while “kasi hindi ko pa mabasa ang pagkatao at puso. So hinayaan ko muna.”

Chynna said when she and Kean “finally figured out that we liked each other enough … he met my Papa in the most awkward way.”

She said Kean “did not back down even if he already wanted to piss his pants. He extended a hand and introduced himself properly,” adding it was the “start of many handshakes and conversations that they would have.”

Chynna said “then came the test of Mama. Who was not easily disarmed with professions of love.”

The actress said her mom “would go and blast Kean with her signature brand of frankness … and he was not intimidated or scared.”

She said “he was honest with her and magalang. Nakikipagusap sa kanya ng walang problema. Ang saya!”

Chynna said Kean told her “after meeting her (Chynna’s mom) that she was beautiful, funny and eventually cried because we both knew something else was happening,” saying that it was “a higher force of answered prayers.”

“So unti-unting check!” she said.

As time went by, “mas tumatatag ang check marks,” she said. “Napakabuti ng asawa ko sa pamilya ko. Grabe po.”

She added: “Kaya Thank You Lord for helping me always. I know your promises are real and eternal.”

Chynna said the family photo was taken with her father before they were blessed with their son Salem. “I am grateful that God has brought all of us together. Simple lang pero masaya.”

Chynna gave birth to their daughter Stellar in 2016 and son Salem in 2019.

The couple celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in November last year.

In March, they revealed they finally found a place to build their very own Casa Cipriano. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
