Scottie Thompson's ex-fiancée breaks her silence: 'To say it has been heartbreaking is an understatement'
Pauline Fajardo, the former fiancée of PBA player Scottie Thompson, finally broke her silence amid the controversy surrounding the Barangay Ginebra star.
The couple got engaged in January, but fans were shocked when news broke this week that Thompson got married to someone else.
In a statement posted on Instagram, Thursday, Fajardo did not name Thompson but said she wanted to "put a stop to all the gossip" and "reclaim [her] private life."
"I am deeply hurt. I ended a long-term relationship with the man I was ready to spend the rest of my life with," Fajardo said.
"To say it has been heartbreaking is an understatement," she added.
Fajardo said she has been undergoing a difficult time in her life and hopes the rumors will end with her statement.
"I kept quiet not because I was insensitive or indifferent but because the issue is very much a personal matter," she said.
"I have remained quiet through all this. As a private person, I just did not see the need to escalate the matter publicly," Fajardo added.
Fajardo said she is now moving forward with her life and also thanked the people who defended her and stayed with her throughout this ordeal.
"This will be the last time I will be commenting on this issue. I kindly ask everyone to respect my decision."
