Kim Domingo shares birthday message to late best friend: ‘Pakiramdam ko ikaw ’yung TOTGA ko’
Kim Domingo shared her birthday tribute to her best friend Angelo Fango who passed away last year after fighting a lung disease.
On Instagram, Kim posted a video compilation of their photos together with Katy Perry’s song “The One That Got Away” as the background music.
“Happy Birthday in Heaven bes! Mag-best friend tayo pero pakiramdam ko ikaw yung #TOTGA ko,” she wrote.
[We are best friends but I feel you are my TOTGA (the one that got away).]
“Sana happy ka na, ako din happy na ulit pero minsan hindi ko maiwasan na malungkot lalo kapag merong nangyayari na maganda sa buhay ko at naiisip ko na wala ka na.”
[I hope you are happy. I am happy now but sometimes I cannot help but feel sad especially when good things happen and I realize you are not here.]
Kim said she couldn’t help but think about her best friend during the good times.
“I still think it would be happier if you were still here celebrating with me. Like before, I reached my dreams with you beside me,” she said in Filipino.
“You said you are always watching over me, thank you my guardian angel. I love you forever bes.”
On Instagram stories, Kim posted a video clip showing a birthday cake and Angelo’s favorite dishes placed near his grave.
In her tribute post last year, Kim said the two of them met in high school in 2010.
She said her best friend had been there for her throughout her career, from her car show days to being cast as a part of “Bubble Gang.”
Things changed for them when Angelo’s health began to deteriorate after a tumor was found in his lungs.
He tested negative with COVID-19 but he was admitted to the hospital as his condition worsened.
One day, Angelo’s mother texted Kim that he was in critical condition. He died a few hours later.
