Pauleen Luna shuts down comment saying she must be pretty only for her husband

Pauleen Luna shut down a comment saying she should strive to become beautiful only for her husband Vic Sotto.

On Instagram, Sunday, Pauleen shared mirror selfies showing her fitness progress, saying she's back to her pre-baby body.

"Hello self! Good to see you again," she wrote in the caption. "I only started to take this fitness journey seriously February 2021 but boy am I glad I did!"

"Lots of hard work and discipline but I'm happy that I was able to get back on track even if it took a long time!" she said.

The "Eat Bulaga" host also thanked her support system, including her husband Vic, and penned a short message for fellow moms.

"This isn't the end of the journey because fitness is a lifelong thing! To all the mamas messaging me, thank you and take your time, do not rush and you do you!" she said.

Hours after posting, a netizen commented that she hopes Pauleen is doing what she does only for her husband's attention.

"Go on, make yourself more beautiful so your husband's attention will only be on you. But I hope your efforts to become prettier is only for your husband," it read in Filipino.

Pauleen replied that she is not making an effort for anyone else but herself.

"Thanks for the concern but I'm doing this for myself. I wanna be strong and healthy so I can live a long life for my family," she said.

"Not doing this for my husband's attention or for any guy's for that matter," she added.

Meanwhile, fellow celebrities including Nikki Gil, Danica Sotto, and Camille Prats showered her post with praises for her look.

In March, Pauleen revealed her battle with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and has since been open about her ways to improve her health.

According to Healthline, PCOS is a hormonal imbalance disorder that makes it difficult for women to lose weight, among many other symptoms.

Aside from Pauleen, other celebrities who have opened up about having PCOS include KC Concepcion and GMA reporter Darlene Cay.
