Rabiya Mateo addresses breakup rumors: ‘It’s a complicated situation but we’re friends’

Rabiya Mateo has addressed the breakup rumors surrounding her and Neil Salvacion, her longtime boyfriend.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on Sunday night, the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 titleholder said that she and Neil are in a “complicated situation.”

“We need to talk about things when I go back to the Philippines, but we’re friends. I still try to contact him but we need to have this space together as of the moment,” she said.

“But I’m not closing any doors. We’ve been in this kind of situation before. We’ve been together for seven years now. Who knows?” She added.

Having been spotted with model Andre Brouillette in Los Angeles amid the issue, Rabiya once again, clarified that he has nothing to do with it.

“Nahihiya ako kay Andre. It’s because yung photos na kumalat, that was the third time that I was able to talk to him,” she said. “He’s a nice guy.”

The Ilongga beauty queen first set things straight with her and Andre when she posted an Instagram story, saying they’re “friends” and she’s “not available.”

It came amid rumors of a split between Rabiya and Neil, which started when the latter’s followers noticed that photos of Rabiya were deleted from his Instagram account.

Seemingly to address the issue, Rabiya last week commented on Neil’s recent Instagram post.

The interview with Boy Abunda is the first time where Rabiya straight-up gave her side.
