Melissa Ricks shares details of her ‘simple’ backyard wedding in California
After sharing clips from her wedding day, Melissa Ricks revealed a few more details about her “simple” backyard wedding in California, USA.
On Wednesday, the actress shared that she and her husband Michael Macatangay tied the knot on Sunday, May 23.
"Our special day made special by my closest friends and relatives here in California in only 3 weeks! I woke up early, hubby cooked breakfast, we went to the grocery to get some snacks and soda for the guests, went through the drive thru at Jack in the Box to get churros and tacos, then proceeded home to get ready," she wrote, sharing photos from her wedding day.
"I did my own hair and makeup, zipped myself into my gown, drove down to the chapel, had a simple ceremony with 15 people. Afterwards we had the reception in my stepdad's backyard. Couldn't get any simpler than that," she added.
Melissa also shared that Michael was very hands-on with her wedding gown design, which was made by Batangas-based designer Lauren Hernandez, saying she wanted it to be "simple and comfortable."
The newlywed couple got engaged in August. Days after their engagement, Melissa narrated how she met Michael in church just a few months after she prayed for someone like him.
