John Lloyd Cruz on son Elias: ‘He plays a big role as to why I’m still here’
John Lloyd Cruz has revealed that he owes his life to his two-year-old son Elias.
In a recent interview reported on PEP.ph, the actor said he considered his son his “teacher.”
“Malaki ang papel [niya] sa kung bakit ako ay nandito pa ngayon (he plays a big role as to why I’m still here now),” he said in a radio program.
According to John Lloyd, Elias is the reason why he wakes up each day and works hard.
“Kung wala ang anak ko, baka wala na rin ako dito (if not for my son, I would not be here),” he said.
In the interview, the actor also shared that his faith had become stronger through the years.
“I’m now always giving thanks for what I have. Everything became clearer,” he said in Filipino.
“The doubts and wishing for things that I don’t have are gone. I saw the value of what I already have,” he added.
Elias, John Lloyd’s son with Ellen Adarna, was born in June 2018.
Although the couple had broken up, the actress revealed in April 2020 that they were co-parenting.
She also said John Lloyd was a good and “present” father.
The actor was recently spotted at Willie Revillame’s resort in Puerto Galera.
