Luane Dy pens tear-jerking message for son’s 1st birthday: ‘To be called your Mom is the greatest gratification’

Luane Dy has shared her tear-jerking message for her son Christ, who is celebrating his first birthday.

On Friday, the “Unang Hirit” host posted on Instagram a photo of her son before blowing out his birthday candle.

“I found out I was having you when two red lines popped out of a pharmacy bought pregnancy testing kit. I had no idea what to feel, I didn’t know if I was ready. I’m sure you could tell mommy was scared. After all, you could hear my heartbeat from where you were,” wrote Luane.

She recalled her difficult pregnancy journey, from suffering due to spotting, hemorrhages, early contractions, and other complications, to undergoing an emergency C-section.

“Not to mention this whole pandemic drama that made everything twice, if not thrice, as hard. Which is also the reason why we had to postpone all the firsts we could’ve had,” said Luane.

“Despite all that, no words can encapsulate how I felt the very first time they placed you in my arms, when you first curdled into me like I was the safest place you can be in,” she added.

“The past 365 days with you has been the happiest I’ve been and to be called your Mom is, and will always be the greatest gratification this life has bestowed upon me. I love you and Happy First Birthday!”
