Geneva Cruz mourns mom’s passing due to COVID-19
Geneva Cruz is in mourning after her mom, Marilyn Cruz, lost her battle against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
On Instagram Monday, Geneva shared the sad news with a black and white photo.
“With hearts broken and full of sorrow, our family would like to let you know that our Mom and Grandmother, Marilyn Cruz, is now in heaven,” she wrote in the caption.
“She is gone too soon, and no one can ever replace her in our hearts. See you on the other side, mama,” she added with a white heart.
In an earlier Instagram post, the singer shared that Marilyn’s blood oxygen level went down to 46 “because of her severe pneumonia.” She needed to be intubated.
Last week, Geneva held an online show to raise funds for her mom who, at that time, was in a critical condition.
