Dianne Medina reveals she almost broke up with Rodjun Cruz

Dianne Medina revealed that she almost called things off with now-husband Rodjun Cruz when she felt that he wasn’t going to propose soon.

In a live cast session in March with Pep.ph, Dianne admitted that she got impatient waiting for Rodjun to pop the question because of her age.

“On our 10th year, I said ‘Lord, it’s like the relationship’s long enough, like I’m not getting any younger,” she said in Filipino.

“During that time, I was already 30, turning 31. Sabi ko ‘’Pag ito wala pang nangyari, aalis na ako [If nothing still happens, I’ll leave],’” she added.

The 34-year-old actress and host also recalled thinking that Rodjun might not even be thinking about settling down yet.

She added that she was worried because women have a “body clock” in terms of bearing children and building a family.

Little did she know that Rodjun had long been planning the proposal to happen on his 30th birthday which is on October 10 in 2017.

“That was really his plan in mind. He was already sure that we’ll end up together,” she added.

It was all according to God’s perfect timing, she said, as she also shared that she prayed for the proposal to happen in that year.

Dianne and Rodjun tied the knot in December 2019. They are now parents to seven-month-old Joaquin. — Franchesca Viernes/BM, GMA News
