Chito Miranda expresses awe as wife Neri Naig purchases dream farmland
Chito Miranda has expressed his awe for Neri Naig as she completes her purchase of her dream farmland.
On Friday, Chito shared a photo of his wife standing in the middle of a grassy field.
The Parokya ni Edgar frontman said he remembered the day Neri told him she wanted to buy the land behind their resthouse.
Chito said that at first, he was unsure if Neri could afford it and asked her to think about it.
“Ayokong ma-stress siya, at mas lalong ayaw ko na mabaon sya sa utang (I don’t want her to get stressed out and I certainly don’t want her to be buried in debt),” he said.
Neri, however, told him that buying the land was her dream and she would work hard and put all her energy into making it happen.
Chito said that he was still hesitant, but they sat down together and discussed her plan.
He said Neri spoke with the land owner and asked if she could pay in installments, and he was “pleasantly surprised” that they agreed with her terms.
“Again, she showed me how it should be done: Dream big. Work hard. Focus on your goals, and never give up.”
According to Chito, Neri has paid off her last installment as of October 2020 and she now owns the land.
Chito said Neri planned to turn it into a farm where she could grow chili peppers and carrots for her gourmet tuyo (dried fish) business. She also wanted to raise chickens and build a hut in the area.
“Bilib na bilib talaga ako (I’m so impressed with her),” Chito said.
“Sobrang excited talaga ako sa mga binabalak, pinaplano, at mga pinapangarap nitong babaitang ’to. Basta ako steady lang, at todo support lang palagi hehe,” he added.
[I’m so excited with what this woman is planning and dreaming of. I’m just here, steady and always giving my all out support.]
“Bahala ka na sa buhay ko (My life is up to you now).”
In the past months, Neri had been sharing updates on the progress of her online businesses.
Last September, she bought a condominium unit by the sea with her earnings, and in November, she finished an online program at Harvard Business School. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
