Rachelle Ann Go is one cool mama after 'amazing birthing experience'

Although Baby Lukas was a bit behind schedule, his birth was an "amazing experience," mommy Rachelle Ann Go said.

In a Facebook post, the renowned theater singer recounted giving birth to her first baby with husband Martin Spies and posted a photo of herself in the hospital — wearing shades!

"If the contractions are strong, make it fashion," she captioned.

Rachelle said when the time came, her midwife gave her an hour to push, and if unsuccessful, they would have to consider an emergency C-section.

"I said 'NO! I will do it in 15-20 mins!,'" she recalled. "It took me 18mins to push Lukas out!"

She added that it was just her, Martin, and the midwife in the room, and that Martin assisted in the delivery.

It was a long labor, so they "kept praying for a miracle."

But despite this, she said she actually enjoyed the contractions.

"I was progressing really slowly but I was actually enjoying the contractions! LOL. Weird...But yeah I found myself saying YES to each contraction," she said.

And eventually they all ended up singing worship songs!

"The Holy Spirit just filled the room! We were praying and singing worship songs... Our first midwife started singing with us!" Rachelle said. "I had such an amazing birthing experience!"

The singer encouraged fellow mommies about to go through the same thing, saying she was "so scared" of giving birth.

"After going through it, I realized God made it possible for us to do this! My big take away is FAITH over fear. God will meet us at the level of our faith," she said.

"To all the mamas out there who are about to go through this journey, I believe in you! You can do it," she added.

Rachelle and Martin, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed Lukas Judah Spies on March 26. —JCB, GMA News
