Demi Lovato reveals she’s pansexual: ‘I’m so fluid now’

Demi Lovato has come out as a pansexual, saying she’s now “fluid.”

In an interview on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast on Saturday, the actress and singer opened up about her sexuality after growing up in a conservative environment.

“I’m so fluid now and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was, like, super closeted off,” Demi said.

Joe asked Demi to clarify what she meant by “fluid,” to which Demi confirmed that she was pansexual.

Now a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, Demi said she knew she was queer ever since she was young.

She recalled watching “Cruel Intentions” and remembering she liked it when the two actresses in the film kissed.

“I was like, ‘oh, I like that.’ But felt a lot of shame because growing up in Texas as a Christian, that is very frowned upon,” Demi said.

“Any attraction that I ever had to a female at a young age, I shut it down before I even let myself process what I was feeling.”

Talking about the pressures she felt while growing up under the spotlight, the singer said, “I’m pushing 30. I’m no longer a 15 year old on Disney Channel. Please let me live my life.”

This isn’t the first time Demi spoke up about her sexual orientation. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Demi discussed her engagement with actor Max Ehrich and said she was “too gay to marry a man right now.”

Demi, who rose to fame as a Disney Channel actress, premiered in March her documentary series “Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil,” where she revealed some of the traumatic events that happened to her. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
