Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez share actual video of the proposal
Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez shared the actual footage of their wedding proposal on YouTube over the weekend.
In the video, Carla and Tom first reminisced the event and shared their thoughts on what had happened. According to Carla, it happened before she went into locked-in taping for "Love of My Life."
"It was supposed to be a regular family dinner," Carla said, to which Tom butted in, "of course she [Carla's mom] knows!"
In a previous interview with GMA News Online, Tom said he had some help for the concept of the proposal from Carla's mom.
In the video, Carla was seen surprised when she entered the front door of her mom's house as she saw a beautiful floral set-up.
Carla was observing the set-up when she told her family, "Kayo ah, dinner-dinner ah.”
Tom's family was also virtually present during the event.
Before popping the question, Tom bent down on one knee and told Carla "I’m sorry it took this long but you know there was never any doubt in my mind 'di ba?"
Carla shrieked and said yes to Tom before they savoured the moment together and with their families.
Carla and Tom, who have been together for over six years, got engaged on October 18, 2020. The Kapuso couple only announced their engagement last Sunday, March 21.
The couple said they plan to hold their classic-style Church wedding at the end of this year once the country’s current situation gets better.
