Derek Ramsay: Ellen Adarna is ‘the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with’

Derek Ramsay has revealed that Ellen Adarna is the woman he sees his future with.

In their first TV appearance together since confirming their relationship, Derek and Ellen shared that talking about marriage with each other didn’t feel uncomfortable at all.

“Sobrang komportable kaming [pag-usapan] yung mga bagay na would definitely make us tense in the past,” Derek told Nelson Canlas on “24 Oras” Thursday.

“When I hear that word (before), wala na walk away na ako. Iwan ko na kayo,” said Ellen.

The actor said that while he was known to resent marriage, he really wanted to settle down someday.

“’Di ba may reputation ako na ayoko magpakasal. Ako ’yung lalaking ayaw magpakasal and I’ve always been vocal na ‘no,’” he said.

“I want to, I’m just not rushing it kasi I want to find the right person,” he added. “And talking about the future and talking about the M word seems so natural, like I have no fear.”

Derek then said “she is the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with,” referring to Ellen.

While the actor said he’s not rushing marriage, Ellen, meanwhile, revealed that she’s not for it.

“I think I’ve been very vocal about it na ayoko talagang magpakasal. I just want a kid. I can’t imagine myself getting married,” she said.

Although the two had contradicting opinions about settling down, it’s clear to them that they’re the perfect match.

“I’m super at ease. We’re both alphas, very strong personalities, but when we’re together, it’s calm,” said Derek.

In a previous interview with a fashion magazine, the actor also said that people would see him married one day.

The couple celebrated their first month together a week ago. They first sparked dating rumors in early January when they were spotted getting cozy with each other at a dinner party with their celebrity friends.

They were later seen together in Batangas, and again in a Valentine’s Day dinner party at the actor’s place.

Derek is coming from a relationship with actress Andrea Torres, who he dated for over a year.

Ellen, who has a child with actor John Lloyd Cruz, has no known relationship since. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
