Kris Aquino speaks up against cruel rumors surrounding sons Josh and Bimb
Kris Aquino went full lioness to protect her children Josh and Bimby against rumors that have surfaced about them in a span of a week.
"I am not blind, and I am not stupid… In a span of a week my children have been used to trigger me," Kris wrote on a series of posts on Instagram.
"Kuya Josh with zero factual basis was said to have impregnated a girl. Bimb has been repeatedly targeted with bullying because people are insisting he is gay," she added.
Kris went on and addressed the issues one by one, first daring rumor mongers to "name and show us the girl."
On Bimby's gender identity, Kris pointed out that her son was only 13 years old. "I know my son doesn’t identify being gay BUT in the event that he ever does, he will still be my son."
"The bullying you are doing is a reflection of your homophobic attitudes that are no longer welcome in 2021," she added.
Kris said, "what is very clear to me is that some people cannot stand the fact that despite all their efforts to bury me, I am still standing."
"And they must be cringing that at a time when our country is hungry and struggling, as a private citizen, I am doing my part with my hard earned money, to share with those in need," she added.
According to Kris, those who have been spreading baseless rumors have "picked the wrong children to harass and bully because this mother knows your motives."
"What does a lioness when her cubs are threatened? She attacks. Google and see what else she is capable of. This isn’t a threat. I am merely stating a fact," she added.
Kris said as long as these people will "leave my children alone" she will "remain a private citizen."
However, if they decide to "continue messing with them," then they are "pushing me in the direction you are so obviously afraid I will take. That yellow brick road is starting to look very inviting now."
This isn't the first time Kris went full on lioness just to defend her children. In 2017, Kris spoke up against a "foul and uncalled for" headline written about her son, Bimby. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
