Carla Abellana says arguments with Tom Rodriguez amid pandemic made them stronger together
Carla Abellana admitted that she and her partner Tom Rodriguez had their fair share of arguments amid the pandemic, just like any other couple.
In an interview with the press for the return of her show "Love of My Life," Carla said staying together under one roof tested their relationship but also made it stronger.
She said they were used to each other being busy with tapings for their own projects, but this year they spent most of their time in each other's company.
"Right before lockdown nakalipat siya dito and I had and extra hand of help, talagang take turns kami sa pag-wash ng dishes, pag-mop ng floor, pagpaligo ng dogs, pagluto," the Kapuso actress told the press.
She said they had a difficult time managing the household chores while also doing work on the side.
"I'm not embarrassed to say that we had a lot of arguments talaga," Carla said without hesitation.
"I would say mas tumibay pa 'yung relationship namin," she said. "Kumbaga napagdaanan na, we now know each other better. May system na kami, definitely stronger together."
Carla said whenever they have arguments, they go quiet once it gets too heated and give each other time and space. With nowhere to go amid the pandemic, they had to make do with staying inside a room.
"With Tom he is quick enough to come to his senses and reflect on everything and you know if it's his fault he apologizes right away," she said. "Hindi din kasi kami 'yung type na we let the days go by without resolving whatever issue."
