Catriona Gray honors parents once more as she looks back at her Miss Universe win from two years ago
Catriona Gray honored her parents once again as she looked back at her Miss Universe win from two years ago.
On Instagram, the Filipina beauty queen posted a video of her parents' emotional and touching reaction when she was announced the winner of Miss Universe 2018.
"2 years ago today," she said. "Honoring my amazing parents whose support and love made me into the woman I am today," Catriona wrote in the caption of her post.
"Even though tears didn't fall when the crown was placed on my head, tears fell when I saw this footage the first time. Love you Mama and Papa," she added.
In a previous interview with BJ Pascual on his vlog, Catriona said her Miss World 2016 failure added to her drive to win the Miss Universe crown.
Catriona was the fourth Filipina to be crowned Miss Universe after Gloria Diaz (1969), Margarita Moran (1973), and Pia Wurtzbach (2015). —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
