Edgar Quizon, son of Dolphy, passes away at 63
Edgar Quizon, former actor and the son of Comedy King Dolphy, has died at 63 years old.
His brother, actor-director Eric Quizon shared the sad news on Instagram.
“Farewell Kuya Edgar. May you find peace in heaven. Please hug Dad, Kuya Freddie, Kuya Rolly and Dino for me. You will be missed. We love you. Rest in peace my brother,” Eric wrote.
Edgar was one of Dolphy’s 18 children. He was a son of Dolphy with Engracita Dominguez. His other siblings included Manuel, Salud, Rodolfo Jr., Wilfredo, and Raul.
His father Dolphy passed away in 2012.
Among the films he starred in were “Dancing Master,” “Dolphy’s Angels,” “Good Morning Professor,” and “May Pulis, May Pulis sa Ilalim ng Tulay.”
According to PEP.ph, his 36-year-old son Egai said his father is scheduled to be cremated at St. Peter’s Chapel, Commonwealth Avenue, Quezon City, on Wednesday.
Egai also told PEP.ph that pneumonia was the cause of death of his father and it was their family’s decision to have him cremated. – Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/RC, GMA News
