Dennis Trillo, Jennylyn Mercado admit it’s ‘easier’ to film scenes as a couple

As the showbiz industry also transitions to a “new normal,” Dennis Trillo and Jennylyn Mercado see the advantages of working together as a couple.

During a virtual press conference last week, the Kapuso actors talked about filming intimate scenes for their upcoming mini-series “I Can See You: Truly. Madly. Deadly,” which premieres Oct. 19 on GMA-7.

The couple said they were both “comfortable” about it, given all the time they spend together off set.

Of course, Dennis and Jen still made it a point to follow strict safety protocols during the “lock-in” taping.

Despite all the adjustments, one thing is for sure: Dennis and Jennylyn have been enjoying each other’s company during the new normal.

“Mas nae-enjoy namin magkasama sa trabaho siguro kasi, ’yun na nga, marami kaming time na sini-spend ngayong quarantine,” Dennis said.

“Mas nagaadjust kami kasi mas lalo kaming magkasama every day, so nadala naming ’yun kahit na nandun kami sa trabaho. Mas nae-enjoy namin, at the same time, feeling namin mas nagiging productive kami. Kahit pagod, nagagawa namin kahit pa paano ng maayos ’yung mga eksena namin,” he explained.

“Tsaka ever since naman kahit noon pa, si Dennis, sa trabaho, masarap talaga siyang katrabaho kasi napakagaling naman na actor talaga,” Jen, who was smiling next to Dennis, said before the two erupted into laughter. – RC, GMA News
