Buboy Villar breaks silence over breakup with Angillyn Gorens

Buboy Villar finally broke his silence over his split with American partner Angillyn Gorens.

In an interview with GMANetwork.com, the actor said it's already been two years since they broke up.

Buboy said they decided to make it public because many people are expecting that they were still together.

"Siguro dapat talagang malaman din ng iba kasi nga ayaw ko rin naman na parang ma-stress nga si Angillyn kasi nga ang daming nagtatanong," he said.

"Hindi naman din siya masyadong ma-social [media] kasi nga ganun nga 'yung parang buhay niya doon, parang lagi siyang nagtatrabaho," he added.

Despite ending their relationship as lovers, Buboy said he and Angillyn remain friends and co-parents to their children.

"At mahalaga naman doon, maayos kaming dalawa at napapag-usapan namin 'yung mga anak namin na pinakaimportante sa amin sa lahat ng bagay," Buboy said.

"Parehas po kaming focused sa journey po naming dalawa which is siya nagtatrabaho po ngayon sa Amerika at ako po naman ay focused po ako sa aking career at sa aking pagiging tatay sa aking mga anak," he said. 

Buboy and Angillyn were engaged in 2016. They have two children together, Vlanz Karollyn, 3, and George Michael, 1. Both of their children are under the care of Angillyn's parents.

The news that Buboy and Angillyn have broken up was confirmed by Veybillyn in an interview with PEP.ph on Monday. 

After receiving backlash from some netizens, after the announcement of their breakup, Veybillyn defended her sister Angillyn and Buboy against bashers saying they are irresponsible parents. —Jannielyn Bigtas/MGP, GMA News
