Maxene Magalona recalls beautiful moments with late dad Francis M
Maxene Magalona just posted a touching tribute to her father Francis Magalona on what would have been his 56th birthday.
In a short video shared on Instagram, the actress recalled some of her most "beautiful moments" with her dad — her favorite being those car rides home after he picked her up from school.
“I have a lot of beautiful and wonderful memories with my dad. But I guess one of my favorites would have to be when he would pick up from school, in college in Katipunan, and we would ride home together all the way to Antipolo," Maxene wrote.
"It was also in those car rides home when he would give me advice — advice that I really keep in my heart forever. We would listen to music together, some of his favorite songs or sometimes he would just suddenly start rapping out of nowhere! You know it was really those fun, candid moments that I really love and miss the most," she explained.
"He was just himself — no cameras, no microphones, no nothing. It was just our quiet time together. I really miss him," she added.
Maxene said she remains very grateful for all those times her dad listened and took the time to get to know her.
"I really cherished those moments because those were the times when he would ask me how I was and what’s happening in my life. You know he really took time to get to know us; to really ask us how we were," the actress wrote.
Francis Magalona a.k.a. Francis M passed away in March 2009 after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in August 2008.
He would have turned 56 on Sunday, October 4, 2020.
Maxene greeted her father a happy birthday in a series of posts, also paying a visit to his grave with her family.
