Joyce Pring shares what their wedding bands remind her of

Joyce Pring took to Instagram to talk about what their wedding bands remind her of.

Posting a photo of her and husband Juancho's hands showing their wedding bands on Instagram, Joyce said they've been making it a point to "wear our wedding bands even when we’re just at home - on Zoomeetings, digital events, etc."

Joyce said the most common joke she would hear when people found out that she was tying the knot was that "these rings are the smallest ball and chains one could ever get and that marriage is synonymous to your freedom being forsaken."

She said now that they have been married for almost a year, "I see these rings and instead I’m elated and reminded of the most freeing love I’ve ever experienced: the love found in Jesus Christ, and the love He has for His church represented in marriage."

Joyce explained why having those bands and being married is the opposite of the common joke that it forsakes freedom.

Made it a point to wear our wedding bands even when we’re just at home - on Zoomeetings, digital events, etc. ???? The most common joke I heard when people found out that I was getting married was that these rings are the smallest ball and chains one could ever get ???? and that marriage is synonymous to your freedom being forsaken. ???? But, now that we’ve been married for almost a year - spending literally every waking hour together, going through the toughest adjustments and most bizarre arguments, and experiencing some of the craziest adventures in my life - I see these rings and instead I’m elated and reminded of the most freeing love I’ve ever experienced: the love found in Jesus Christ, and the love He has for His church represented in marriage. ?? Because Christ loved us, we are able to forgive, love, laugh, and enjoy life in utmost freedom - knowing that every storm and every beautiful story is but a piece in the puzzle that our sovereign Lord has set before us. Everyday I experience freedom as the daughter of the Risen King; free to submit, sacrifice for, love, and enjoy my marriage without fear, hesitation, or lingering resentment, because I know my biggest Love is found in Christ alone, and His love for me overflows in this holy matrimony that I get to enjoy with my #Juanchoyce (oh diba napsok ko pa yun ????) by God’s grace. ???? Psalm 86:15 (ESV) “But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” Happy Lord’s Day!
