Pauleen Luna addresses 'age gap' with Vic Sotto: 'He respects me like an equal'

Pauleen Luna on Instagram Saturday addressed the 34-year age gap between her and her husband Vic Sotto.

The Eat Bulaga co-host began by narrating how she was asked about it in an interview and how she "wasn't able to give a good answer because I honestly do not feel the 'gap' that we have."

But the question stuck to her, making her think long and hard about it.

After some rumination, Pauleen said not only does Vic love her, but he also "gives me a certain kind of confidence and security about our relationship."

"I think the thing I love most about him is the amount of respect he gives me," Pauleen continued.

"He respects my life decisions, he respects my room to grow and he respects me like an equal," she added.

A few weeks ago, we were interviewed by Miss @luchicruzvaldes for her show. She asked me "How do you deal with the age gap?" I wasn't able to give a good answer because i honestly do not feel the "gap" that we have. That afternoon, i thought hard about that question and i came up with an answer, a real answer. My husband loves me very much and gives me a certain kind of confidence and security about our relationship but i think the thing i love most about him is the amount of respect he gives me. He respects my life decisions, he respects my room to grow and he respects me like an equal. Never did i hear my husband raise his voice and felt like i was younger and didn't matter. I always felt validated. I always feel important around him. Respect plays a big role in any relationship. I know deep in my heart that it's one of the main reasons why this relationship is so easy. According to Pauleen, Vic has never raised his voice on her, has never made her feel younger, and has never made her feel like she didn't matter. "I always felt validated," she said.

"Respect plays a big role in any relationship. I know deep in my heart that it's one of the main reasons why this relationship is so easy," she ended her note.

Pauleen and Vic married in January 2016 after dating for four years. They have an adorable two-year-old daughter together, Baby Tali, who has been cheering everybody up and making everybody smile since she was born in November 2017. — LA, GMA News
