'Bawal Judgmental' helps mom find long-lost son with special needs
After a long, painful year of searching, a mother in Cavite has finally found her long lost son with the help of GMA-7 noontime show "Eat Bulaga."
Muriel, who appeared as a contestant on "Bawal Judgmental" on Saturday, said her 20-year-old son Earl John went missing about a year and two months ago while she was busy selling banana cue in Cavite.
The mother tried searching for her son, who had special needs, but witnesses said he was seen boarding public transportation and has not returned home since.
Refusing to give up, Muriel took the chance to send an open call for Earl John during the live telecast of "Bawal Judgmental."
"John, kung nasaan ka man naroroon, alam ko naman na hindi mo lang matagpuan ang bahay natin," she said.
"Sana po sa may nakakita man po, sinuman po ang nag-aalaga sa anak ko maraming salamat po sana maibalik lang po, matagal-tagal na rin po," she added.
Fortunately, an individual who heard of Muriel's plea and reached out through Facebook about Earl John's whereabouts.
On Monday, "Eat Bulaga" host Vic Sotto announced that Muriel had indeed found her son and that they were set to be reunited following a few safety precautions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Bossing was also happy to announce that they were confirming information about another contestant's child, who has been lost for 21 years.
To help contestants of the September 12 episode find their long lost loved ones, "Eat Bulaga" encouraged viewers to come forward with useful information.
