VP Leni Robredo documents daughter Tricia’s online graduation ceremony

Tricia Robredo, daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, has officially graduated with a dual degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.

The Vice President shared photos from the virtual conferment ceremony held Tuesday, along with a heartfelt congratulatory message for her daughter and her fellow graduates.

"Yesterday’s conferment of MD/MBA degrees was not the kind they envisioned. After all, they labored for these for five years with almost no summer breaks," Robredo wrote on Instagram. "But it was still an important milestone, made more extraordinary because of the times we are in."

Yesterday’s conferment of MD/MBA degrees was not the kind they envisioned. After all, they labored for these for five years with almost no summer breaks. But it was still an important milestone, made more extraordinary because of the times we are in. Their batch wants a real graduation when all this is over. So for yesterday’s event, they called it Conferment Ceremony.

Tricia attended the online ceremony in a dark blue terno detailed with a Filipino ethnic pattern.

The graduate also shared some fun behind-the-scenes moments on her Instagram account.

It turns out that Vice President Robredo had been documenting the event using her phone, which occasionally popped up live on-camera.

"'Oh my god mama yung kamay mo. Naka video on tayo' x 1000 this afternoon," Tricia said, sharing photos from the call.

The Vice President’s daughter also shared several video clips and other fun snapshots from the ceremony featuring her sisters Jessica and Jillian.
