Kim Domingo pens heartbreaking tribute to best friend who passed away

Kim Domingo has written a heartbreaking tribute to her best friend who died after battling lung disease.

Sharing photos of herself with her longtime friend Zacharael Gelzz on Thursday, Kim wrote on Facebook: “Ayoko magpaalam.”

She added: “Even it’s really hard to accept, may parteng masaya na din ako dahil hindi ka na mahihirapan dahil hindi ko kaya makita kang hirap na hirap. Ang sakit sa dibdib ko,” she added.

Kim recalled how they first met in high school in 2010 and how she couldn’t believe she found a best friend in him.

“I mean bihira kasi tayo makakita ng babae-lalaki tapos magbestfriend diba so ’yung iba pag tinatanong ako hanggang ngayon ano mo siya? Pag sinasabi ko bestfriend ko napapa ‘WEH!’ nalang sila kasi ayaw maniwala sa atin,” the actress said.

Kim shared how Zacharael was there for her through everything, from her modeling and car show days to becoming a cast member on “Bubble Gang.”

Thing changed when Zacharael’s health began to deteriorate and a tumor was found in his lungs.

“Wala naman symptoms bukod sa ubo so hinayaan mo ’yun for how many years hanggang sa eto na naglabas na symptoms, nagpacheck ka hospital noon, nakita nga lumalaki bukol mo,” Kim revealed.
For a while, Zacharael’s health got better but his body started to weaken again until he had to undergo a biopsy.

“Kaso wala nakita sa result sabi need mo daw mag-undergo ng procedure na VATS di kana din bumalik non coz gumanda nanaman ulit pakiramdam mo,” she said.

“Hanggang sa isang araw bigla ka na lang umaray sabi mo sumasakit nanaman bukol mo kinakapos ka hininga,” she added.

Zacharael tested negative for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) but he was still admitted to the hospital as his condition worsened.

“Hindi kita nilingon pagbaba mo kotse kase badtrip din ako sayo non dahil napakatigas ng ulo mo ayaw mo kumain gulay/prutas plus laging nagpupuyat din kaya ‘yung awa ko sayo nung time na yun may halong inis iniisip ko na ewan ko ba ang tigas ng ulo mo talaga bes,” Kim wrote as she shared their very last photo together.

Until one day, Zacharael’s mom texted Kim that he was in critical condition. After a few hours, he passed away.

“Tumunog ang cp may text from your mother. Pagbukas ko ang text na bumungad sakin ‘ATE WALA NA PO SI KUYA HINDI NA PO NYA KINAYA.’”

Kim shared her disbelief and the pain she felt in arranging her best friend’s own funeral.

“Hindi ko din ma-imagine na ang bestfriend ko dati pinipilian ko lang ng damit, ngayon kabaong na,” Kim wrote.

The actress said no one could replace Zacharael in her life, adding that she now considered him her guardian angel.

“Sana punta ka naman sa panaginip ko, sana magkaroon pa tayo one last moment ng tawanan, sana mayakap kita doon or makita ko yung mga matatamis mong ngiti sobrang laking tulong sa akin non,” Kim said.

“Pipilitin ko maging okay kasi alam ko ayaw mo ako nakikitang nagkakaganito. Tutuparin ko pa din lahat lahat ng mga naging plano natin! Kasama ka kasi sa lahat ng plano ko eh. Basta enjoy ka lang dyan sa piling ni LORD ah.” – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
