Should men pay for all dates when courting a woman? Paolo Contis, LJ Reyes weigh in

Paolo Contis and LJ Reyes shared their thoughts on whether men should pay for all dates or share expenses when courting a woman on the latest episode of their vlog.

The Kapuso couple asked some questions about dating during the “ligawan” stage.

In the video, they explained if people going on ligawan dates should go dutch or KKB (“kanya-kanyang bayad”) or should it be the guy’s treat.

Paolo narrated their own experience when they were still in that stage.

“Dati noong nanliligaw ako, gusto mo lagi pantay. Dati kasi dati akala mo hindi ako nanliligaw. ’Pag kumakain tayo sa labas, pak, ‘ano yung inaabot mo, bakit, ano nangyayari?’” Paolo narrated.

LJ answered, “eh siyempre, I’m an independent woman.”

To answer the question, however, Paolo told men not to ask women out if he expected them to split the bill.

“’Wag ka magyayaya sa restaurant na aasahan mo hati kayo. Nanliligaw ka eh. Sa ’kin lang,” said Paolo. – Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/RC, GMA News
