Jerson Prado's girlfriend surprises him with sunflowers to celebrate his graduation
Former Fighting Maroon Jerson Prado is one lucky guy.
After receiving all his grades this semester, he is officially graduating from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
There won't be a ceremony yet due to the threat of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), but his girlfriend made sure he would mark the occasion in a special way.
"I would've loved to be with you and celebrate this moment together, but since that's completely impossible for now, I just thought I'd bring the grad to you in some way. I love you, my isko!" Mia Pablo wrote on Instagram.
It is tradition for UP graduates to take photos with the sunflowers planted on the University Avenue, so she ordered sunflowers and had them delivered to her beau's house!
When the flowers arrived, Jerson's mother asked him to wear a barong and took the obligatory pictures.
Mia also shared a photo of the couple wearing sablay, the traditional garment worn by UP graduates.
"Been wanting to post this since we got the pictures but Jerson kept insisting to wait until we were sure he’ll graduate," she said. "Ayan, super sure naman na siguro kasi ginawa niyang flat uno 'yung sem!"
Congratulations, Jerson! —MGP, GMA News
