DJ Mo Twister and Angelika Schmeing are engaged — congratulations!
DJ Mo announced the news on his Instagram and latest Good Times With Mo (GTWM) episode, posting a photo of Angelika smiling from ear to ear holding her mic with a ring on her finger.
"She woke up like this. Early morning GTWM Podcast episode with the rock of our family, the prized jewel of my heart, the beauty with the diamond eyes @angelicopter on GTWM Season 7 Episode 45, out on Spotify now."
On the podcast, Mo entertained a caller named Karla — who would turn out to be their podcast producer Anj, pretending to have issues with her partner, because they are not yet formally married despite addressing each other "husband and wife." It's a situation familiar to DJ Mo and Angelika.
While they were in the middle of the topic, DJ Mo asked Karla what her husband's excuse was for not proposing.
"Is there an excuse? 'Cause mine is mahal eh," DJ Mo told the fake caller.
On the 20:40 mark of their podcast, things started to shift smoothly.
Karla then proceeded and said, "You know, I just want him to say one thing. I just wish he'd say this line you know: 'Angelika would you take this ring and say yes to being Mohan's wife?'"
Angelika was confused and shocked and said "Ha?"
DJ Mo said he is using the podcast to propose to Angelika.
"Nakakinis ka, I knew it. It sounded like us," Angelika began. "Of course, babe you know that naman, I'm crying na naman," Angelika told DJ Mo when she finally realized that it was a wedding proposal.
Angelika said yes to DJ Mo, explaining that DJ Mo handed her a ring when their "fake caller" popped the question for Mo.
DJ Mo said he chose May 22 because their real anniversary was November 22 and during that day the two of them talked to move it to six months later so it won't coincide with other important events such as Christmas, thanksgiving, birthdays that will cost them more money for celebrations.
