Jestoni Alarcon's daughter Angela shares what's it's like to have the action star as dad

Jestoni Alarcon's daughter Angela is all grown up. She is among the featured Girls of Summer of GMA News Online's Cover Stories, giving all of us the poolside summer party of our lockdowned dreams.

According to Angela, her action star dad was a big inspiration to her. "And pop culture na rin became an inspiration to me kasi I really admire a lot of actors and seeing them in front of the screen, it inspired me to really try acting," the rising Kapuso actress says.

Seeing her dad and his colleagues gave Angela a good idea of the world of showbiz: "Everyone watches you. Everyone has high expectations but it's something that pushed me to really come out of my shell and my comfort zone to really be the best version of myself and to push harder to achieve my goals in life."

And it's true: Angela graduated cum laude from the University of the Philippines-Diliman with a degree in Speech Communication. She is also a taekwondo black better.

In case you're wondering, her favourite Jestoni movie is "Wag Mong Buhayin Ang Bangkay."
