Ben&Ben writes new song inspired by story of netizen who's been in love with her best friend for 8 years

Ben&Ben has written a new song based on the story of a netizen who attended the wedding of her best friend, whom she's been in love with for eight years.

The netizen with the user name Anne Jou shared her heartbreak on the comments section of Ben&Ben's "Pagtingin" music video, a song that also talks about missed chances and a love untold.

The nine-piece band shared a screenshot of her comment on Twitter on Monday and posted a followup one day later.

"So...this kept us up last night that we ended up writing a new song about it," Ben&Ben wrote, but did not disclose any more details.

In the story, Anne Jou shared that she had feelings her best friend from high school but she never told him because she was "scared of losing our friendship and also him himself."

After eight years of being in love with him in secret, she finally had to attend his wedding last January.

"Before his wedding he thanked me for being his best friend and told me that before he met the girl he got married to, he loved me first. For 5 years. But he was also scared of losing me so he just decided to keep it," she revealed.

"We didn't know that if only one of us dared to make a move, a lifetime was waiting for us," she said.

She said she was shocked and admitted that she felt slightly angry towards the world for what happened.
