Netflix just improved its parental controls feature so moms and dads can better monitor their kids' entertainment diets
As most are confined in the comfort of their own homes due to the enhanced community quarantine, some kids are binging on cartoons and animated films.
If your children are on Netflix constantly and you're losing track of what they're watching, worry not.
Netflix has just launched a newly improved parental controls feature that can help moms and dads, especially those with children below 7 years old, in monitoring what their kids watch.
On top of the default kids profile that comes with all Netflix accounts — you can activate that on Manage Profile and use the default kids profile to automatically filter shows for children — the video streaming site has come up with the "Profile and Parental Control" feature. The new feature filter titles and shows for each profile through maturity ratings for different age groups.
This feature also allows parents to put a 4-digit pin for each profile, ensuring your kids will stay in the default kids profile and won't be able to get into your Netflix profile.
Under playback settings, parents can turn off the autoplay for select profiles so that your kids won't be able to watch the next episodes without your guidance.
Lastly, the new feature also allows you to check out your child's viewing history giving you access to the shows they have watched.
As this quarantine leaves all of us hungry for more entertainment, leave one worry behind and set up your parental controls properly. — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
