Sheena Halili reveals how she met soon-to-be husband Jeron Manzanero in new vlog

Had it not been for Carlo Cannu, an assistant director for GMA Network, Sheena Halili might not have met her the love of her life Jeron Manzanero.

In the first YouTube episode of "Sheena In Love", the Kapuso actress said Carlo connected her with Jeron through Facebook — after painstakingly searching for the names of single men on Facebook, in alphabetical order!

When he reached the letter "J", he saw Jeron's name.

Carlo then reached out to Jeron, who at the time was practicing law in Boston. He was set to return to the Philippines a few months later.

Although they were acquaintances, Jeron was puzzled when Carlo told him upfront on Messenger that there was someone whom the lawyer might want to date.

When Sheena found out about Jeron's profession, she initially wanted to back out.

"Naku, huwag na iyan. Sigurado Englisero iyan. Tapos iisipin ko pa 'yung friends, 'yung family. Naku papagod ako. Sabi ko 'yung gusto ko medyo ano, parang me. 'Yung ganito lang, simple tayo," she said.

When Jeron searched her up on Instagram, he was surprised to discover that she had 700,000 followers.

"Grabe naman 'to. Sino 'to," he said, recalling his initial impression of the Filipina actress. It was only then when he remembered her from the GMA-7 reality talent competition "Starstruck."

Before Jeron made the first move, Carlo told him that Sheena was intimidated of "engliseros."

The lawyer's first message to Sheena was funny and quirky.

"e0wH ph0eZxs ^_^ hehe," he wrote to the actress, who appreciated his humor.

They first got to talk to each other on Facetime. Since then, Jeron said that he looked forward to coming back to the country because of Sheena.

Their first date, where they got to see each other face-to-face, was at a pizza place at Eastwood.

According to the "Destined to be Yours" actress, she and Jeron "talked about life."

"Kung tinitignan niya ako, natutunaw talaga ako," she gushed.

Since then, they have been messaging each other constantly.

Two months later, he asked if she could be his girlfriend.

And now, the couple is set to tie the knot on February 23.

Sheena and Jeron got engaged in August 2018 when the latter popped the question inside a theater.
