FYI, you can name a rat or cockroach after your ex and watch them be fed to zoo animals

A zoo in San Antonio, Texas is giving the heartbroken a funny and unique way to celebrate Valentine's day by themselves.

The San Antonio Zoo is letting anyone name a rat or a cockroach after their ex, and watch it get eaten by birds and reptiles, for $5.

And "if your ex was a snake," you can even name a pre-frozen rodent after them, and they'll feed it to a reptile for $25.

According to its website, this is for a special Valentine's Day event dubbed "Cry me a Cockroach."

They will livestream the feeding frenzy so anyone can tune in.

The Valentine's day promotion closes February 14 at 6 p.m.

The zoo stated on its website that all their feeder insects were part of the audit by animal welfare organization American Humane.

It also assured that, instead of live rodents, they source pre-frozen rodents from farms, which are already part of their regular daily scheduled feedings.
