Derek Dee to daughter Michelle: ‘Try your best, but have a good time’

Former action star Derek Dee had some encouraging words for his daughter, Michelle Dee, who is representing the Philippines in this year's Miss World 2019.

"Just try your best, but have a good time. Don't pressure yourself. That’s it. Enjoy," he said in Aubrey Carampel's Chika Minute report on "24 Oras."

Derek is currently on his way to London to support Michelle on coronation night, which will take place on December 14.

Earlier, Michelle emerged as one of the winners of the Miss World Head to Head Challenge where she talked about her advocacy for autism awareness.

According to the Chika Minute report, Michelle's father is very proud of her performance.

"The way she’s performing...parang she’s peaking. She’s peaking at the right time," he said.

According to Michelle's Instagram story, she was visited in London by her mother Melanie Marquez, her siblings and Marquez's husband. — Angelica Y. Yang/BM, GMA News
